Carmen Garro

Carmen is a research associate at viu:lab. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Costa Rica and a Master’s in Data Science for Public Policy from the Hertie School in Berlin. Her work bridges quantitative methods, governance, and communication, with experience at institutions such as Transparency International, Brown University, and the United Nations.

He holds a PhD in geoinformatics with a specialization in uncertainty visualization. His current research lies at the intersection of interactive data visualization and data journalism, exploring how visual methods can help people understand, navigate, and make informed decisions in the face of uncertainty.
